Own the season trend: Burnt Orange

Monochrome is a huge trend this season. But what's even bigger is the colour burnt orange. From runways to Instagram feeds, it seems to have taken over everything. It is the colour you want to shop for pants, crop tops, skirts, holiday wear and almost every kind of outfit you can imagine. Pick up any millennial brand and you will find a monochrome dress in this colour with them. I happened to get my hands onto this one at Central Fashion, with their Hey brand!

I went about styling it with a tan tote bag and black bellies. It is a difficult to style colour, so I decided to go with dainty jewellery and classic golden loops. Don't pair statement pieces with this one, the colour is too bold enough to make a statement in itself and you don't want to over do it. I paired a tan belted watch along and left my hair open. Pulling back my hair into a bun or up do would have made the outfit look larger than life for me. So, keep your body type in mind while styling your hair for this one.

With so much colour already on me, I choose not to go too colourful with my make-up. Instead, I went for nudes. Nude lipstick, nude eye shadow and a classic black winged liner. It all helped do the trick!

Button-down dresses are in vogue and I love to have them in my wardrobe. I have four to five of them already and adding this one in the colour of the season in 2019 to my collection, only makes me want to have more and more of them. They could be wore as casuals, for shopping sprees, brunches, at movies, at dates to at meetings, office and as formal wears provided they are in subtle hues.

Let me know in comments what do you plan to shop next in the colour of the season, burnt orange?

The Summer Soul

Hello, chicas!

Summer is just around the corner, and you must be already dreaming of a vacation. Well, so am I! Strolling around beaches, watching scintillating blue waters, gorgeous palm trees and me in a chic beach dress, tan sandals, retro sunglasses, woven straw bag and hat, is simply how I imagine it to be. This 'beach calling', 'vacay craving' mood got me to style this broderie wrap skater dress, for it makes perfect resort wear!

What I absolutely love about this dress is that it's a wrap dress. Bang on in trend for the 2019 summer! It comes with a cute belt, frill hem and multi-tier sleeves. I know there's a lot going on, but it all accounts to look great together.

I styled it with a tan sling, though a woven rattan basket bag would have ideally looked best. I would have styled it with this, but I am waiting to go on a vacation to Bali so that I can shop a woven rattan basket bag from there. Yeah, that is the extent to which I go to, in order to shop what I need. Coming back to styling, I paired a dainty layered necklace and geometric earrings with the dress. How I wish, I could pair tap sandals with this but I went for what I had, which is nude pumps. I like how they don't take away the attention from the dress and make it look short and fun, just how it ideally should.

Let me know where would you imagine wearing this outfit in comments, till then I will go back to dream of a vacation where I could possibly wear this!

Tailored To Perfection

Hello girlies!

I am a huge fan of Amal Clooney, not only for what an awesomesauce woman she makes but also for her style. There has been no outfit, no look of hers that turned me off till date. She nails all of them and with a great elegance. Her tailored formal outfit looks are the inspiration behind this one. It hugely excites me as I type out this blog because I know no matter how hard I try, I can't reach even 00.001% of her style, but I am glad to have given it a shot and love what it turns out to be!

Luck struck me while I was casually checking out Koovs sale the other day and happened to come across this skater dress. It took me by surprise with the absolutely gorgeous mint colour, perfect tailored detailing, the dream like frills on sleeve and the dapper button down pattern. I was amused by how could anything having so much going on yet be so lovely and for a steal deal!

I styled it with a tan sling, nude pumps, dainty gold necklace and geometric earrings. Since, it was a look that serves as a great formal wear idea, a watch was a must. For lips I chose, the colour of the year, "living coral" and added a nude matte eyeshadow on my eyelids. To sum it up, I went for a classic black pair of sunglasses and brushed my tresses open.

This outfit has gone on to become one of my favourite ones with this look, what do you think? Isn't it too good enough to obsess so much over it? Put your thoughts in comments!

Denim Domination

Hey lovelies,

Have the "chilly like never before" Mumbai winters put you in a fix in terms of what to reach out to in your wardrobe other than sweaters and sweatshirts? Well, the solution lies right in front of your eyes which you may have taken for granted in this weather. It is what you are saving up for the summers, the denim jackets!

If you are someone who could take some chill but not spend the whole weather wearing jeans and leggings, then denim jackets could be a great way to layer up over your dresses. Add a pair of boots and that should suffice to help beat Mumbai chills. Don't worry about invite eye rolls your way with those boots because probably this time even they are thinking to take their boots out on a walk on Mumbai streets.

I threw a basic denim jacket over the classic white tee and a washy effect pair of jeans. I paired a sling in blush pink colour with it. Nude make-up is the trend of the year and that turned out to be a perfect fit for this look!

To break the monotony of blue caused by the denim over denim look, I went for tangy nail colour. Love the way it makes my nails stand out. How did you find the look? Also, what would you team the denim jacket with this season? Lemme know in comments Chicas!
